Myth : |
| |
Infertility is a medical problem related to women only. |
| |
|
| |
Fact : |
| |
Infertility is a medical problem that is related to both men and women. Men and women are affected almost equally.
For men, declining sperm counts, increased testicular abnormalities, and a decreased reach of climax are recognized as causes of infertility.
For women, the most common causes are tubal blockage, endometriosis, and waiting until later in life to try to get pregnant |

Myth : |
| |
Acne is caused by dirt. |
| |
|
| |
Fact : |
| |
Surface dirt isn't the problem; neither is surface oil. The main culprit is the combination of skin scales, oil, and bacteria that reside inside your follicles and sebaceous glands. Acne occurs due to sebum, dead skin cells, and bacteria clogging your pores. The dark color of blackheads isn't dirt, but rather the coloring of the dead cells at the top of the clogged pores. Although good hygiene is important for healthy skin, washing your face too often can actually irritate your skin by drying it out. Then, as the oil glands continue secreting oil through irritated skin, acne can actually worsen. |

Myth : |
| |
Eating fried food or chocolate can cause acne. |
| |
|
| |
Fact : |
| |
Nope - that candy bar you had last night or that slice of pizza at last week's sleepover isn't responsible for the pimple that showed up on your face today. What you eat isn't the cause of acne, but that doesn't mean you should pig out on food that isn't very nutritious. Eating a variety of foods, such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and low-fat dairy products, will make you feel good and keep the rest of your body healthy and strong |
